On Saturday, the 22nd of July 2023, Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie and U-Law partnered with Lagos Food Bank Initiative for a community outreach at the foodbank warehouse to provide food and other relief items to vulnerable women and the disabled living in low-income communities, through our Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

The representatives of Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie & U-Law were delighted to partner with Lagos Food Bank to make an impact by giving back to the community in which they live in, as they showed up in good numbers to reignite hope by providing food boxes to indigent households.

Senator Udoma Udo-Udoma, the Founding Partner of the law firm made delightful remarks about the outreach, citing the need to contribute to fighting against malnutrition and hunger that is persistent in the under-served communities across Lagos State, he also encouraged other corporate organizations to join the effort of ending food insecurity in the country.

The President of Lagos Food Bank Initiative, Dr. Michael Sunbola, expressed his much-felt gratitude to the partner of the day, Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie and U-Law, for their kind generosity and support towards the organization’s vision of zero hunger and reducing the incidence of food insecurity in the vulnerable population. He also acknowledged the dedication of volunteers that came to assist in the packaging of the boxes of hope, highlighting their importance in making this outreach a reality.

The outreach was a huge success as the beneficiaries showed signs of relief and renewed hope upon receiving their boxes. The donated food boxes would last a family of 5 for about 2 – 4 weeks. A beneficiary of the distribution took the time to pray for all the stakeholders that are catering to their pressing need for food security.

The Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program is one of the many intervention programs of Lagos Food Bank Initiative, targeted at providing immediate food, nutrition and relief assistance to families in low-cost communities in Lagos and its environs at no cost.
