BADAGRY COMMUNITY OUREACH/WORLD VOLUNTEER DAY

World Volunteer Day is a day set aside to promote volunteerism, encourage governments to support volunteer efforts and recognize volunteer contributions to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at local, national and international levels.

In celebration of this, Lagos Food Bank will be having a 2 day fun filled event to celebrate the effort and resilience of our volunteers.

Date: Saturday 5th December- Sunday 6th December
Time: The buses move at exactly 7:00am from the food bank as the outreach starts by 11:30am.

  • Outreach to reach women and children in Badagry community
  • Visit to historical sites
  • Beach party
  • Talent showcase
  • Games and sports

Transportation, Accommodation and Feeding will be fully catered for by the food bank.

Ask anyone how to get to Cement Bus-Stop (Cement B/S is 2 two bus stops after Ikeja-Along)
There is an ASCON filling station by Cement B/S, enter the ASCON filling station and ask any bike-man to direct you to Plot 10, Oba Lateef Adams Estate Phase1, Off Olufeso Street Iloro, Cement Bus-Stop.
The food bank is the first building by the left as you enter the estate.
Major Landmarks: Destiny Revival Church, Henrycarr Library, Bright Field College, Two MTN Mast Antenna.  The Food Bank is beside Destiny Revival Church.

Dress Code for the outreach:
Wear closed-toe shoes such as sneakers, converse, or boots. WE DO NOT PERMIT Slippers, sandals, flat shoes, skirt, gowns, or similar outfits. Volunteers who come inappropriately dressed will be turned back.

This outreach will be held in partnership with Firmenich.
