The Lagos Food Bank Initiative announced a renewed partnership with Nutzy Peanut Butter- a food manufacturing company that produces a healthy range of food that can be eaten with variety of choices. The partnership is geared towards providing healthy nutrition of vulnerable mothers and children living in marginalized communities through the Nutritious Meal Plan Intervention for Vulnerable Mothers and Children (NUMEPLAN).

The CEO Nutzy Peanut Butter, Serena Dalamal at the press conference noted that “They had already spoken about the problem of malnutrition and benefits peanut butter could have towards tackling it. But their company didn’t have was the access to those in desperate need of treatment and for that reason that they have chosen to partner with Lagos Food Bank.”
The “Buy a Jar, Feed a Child” Initiative which officially kickstarted on the 1st of March 2022 by the food company with jars available in stores and supermarkets across the country. For every Nutzy Creamy Peanut Butter 510g jar sold, a sachet of the peanut butter would be donated to a malnourished or underfed child in need.
