To commemorate the bank’s third year anniversary, the 9PSB embarked on a partnership with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative on Friday 24th of November 2023 at the Food Bank warehouse to reach aged women and widows form Isolo, Alimosho, Mushin and Lagos Island communities with food items to reduce the burden of hunger caused by the daily rise in the price of food items.  

The 9PSB team were present in their numbers to give back to the community and to celebrate the occasion of their anniversary. The intervention was timely as it was targeted at reaching the most vulnerable with the needed food and relief items. Branka Mracajac, the CEO of 9PSB addressed the people present and expressed her satisfaction on the partnership and she stated that the organization looks forward to more collaboration with the Lagos Food Bank to reach the vulnerable and food-insecure. 

Mr. Michael Sunbola (President/Executive Director, LFBI) gave a closing remark and acknowledged the selflessness of the partner in celebrating their anniversary with the food distribution, he highlighted the timeliness of the intervention and stated that the food would go a long way to impact the beneficiary households. He thanked the members of the 9PSB team for taking time off to reach the vulnerable, and he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers present for their unending passion and support for the cause. 

The outreach was held in the Food Bank warehouse where all the beneficiaries converged to receive their food boxes that will last a family of 5 for about 1-2 weeks. 

The beneficiaries were exhilarated, they gave testimonials explaining how the food would help their households and they prayed heartily for the organization and the partners.
