In celebration of the World NGO Day 2024, Lagos Food Bank Initiative organized a distribution to 7 non-profits to support their work in low-income communities to reduce the effect of the cost of living crisis in their families.  The distribution was done on Friday 1st March 2024 and the aim of the outreach was to support the effort of the NGOs in their local communities to reach more low-income households.

An opening address was taken by a Partner NGO Officer, Sarah Franklin and she applauded all the effort of the NGOs present in their communities by providing food for the needy. After which a representative of each NGO introduced their work to LFBI team as well as to the other NGOs present, this is to encourage collaborations among the NGOs in the network. gave a brief overview of the work of their organization in their communities.

The program was concluded as Mrs Felicia, the founder of Pure Religion Widow Foundation expressed her appreciation for being selected for the food grant disbursement, she stated that the grant would go a long way to increase the impact of their program.

All the NGOs present extended the thankfulness for the support through the food grant donation.
