On the Thursday 23rd of December 2021, the Lagos Food Bank in partnership with Harvard Nigerian Students Association served the indigent families in Oworonshoki community who have little or no access to food with shelf staple food and personal care items through the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

Representatives from the Harvard Nigerian Students Association arrived at the foodbank warehouse as early as possible and joined in the loading of food boxes into the food truck. On arrival at the community, the LFBI volunteers moved swiftly to arrange the ‘December Boxes of Hope’ at the designated area for the respective beneficiaries. One of our beneficiaries, Mrs. Mary a pregnant mother of two who excitedly collected her box of hope, showed her gratitude to the sponsors and food bank when she saw all the food items that were packaged for her. Some personal care items, fairly used clothes amongst others were distributed to other members of the community.
