In commemoration of the 2022 World Food Day with the theme “Leave No One Behind”, On Sunday 16th of October 2022, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative will reach out to the families within Whlakoji Community – Marina, Lagos. This outreach is sponsored by the ongoing One Billion Meals Campaign in partnership with the Food Banking Regional Network and Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative.
ABOUT OUR PARTNER:
The Food Banking Regional Network is a non-governmental organization that organizes charity work, unify efforts and encourages cooperation between different sectors for protecting the right of people to feed themselves in dignity. The FBRN is looking forward to changing the world to achieve food sufficiency, secure the environment, and develop the needy to attain independence and to attain nutritional security.
GOALS
The goal of the outreach is to put smiles on the faces of vulnerable families living in under-served communities affected by food inflation and high cost of living by delivering food items and relief materials.
OBJECTIVES
- To increase awareness in the area of food security, the standard of living, and quality of life.
- To meet their immediate food needs and provide them with nutrition support.
- To provide hope through our support and donations to influence positive behaviors in the community.
