On the 5th of March 2024, Lagos Food Bank Initiative will be partnering with Malta Guinness in a bid to curb food insecurity affecting vulnerable families in low-cost communities by providing them with food items and personal care materials capable of lasting a family of 4 to 5 for 3 to 4 weeks through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

Due to the economic challenges facing households below the poverty line, this collaboration aims to offer support to families in need, helping them secure essential sustenance during difficult times.

GOAL:

The objective of this outreach initiative is to offer nutritional assistance to families who are vulnerable and reside in low-income neighborhoods.

  • To ensure that families facing economic challenges have fair access to nutritious meals.
  • To enhance the nutritional intake of disadvantaged families residing in economically affordable communities.
  • To alleviate the prevalence of food insecurity and malnutrition in economically affordable communities.
