Due to the ongoing economic hardships resulting from the removal of fuel subsidies, the Lagos Food Bank Thursday, August 31st 2023, in partnership with GFN will reach vulnerable women residing in low-cost communities within Lagos with food relief to mitigate the effects of the subsidy removal.

This outreach aims to distribute essential food items and relief materials as part of the 3-month Subsidy Removal Food Assistance Programme (SRFAP)

The Lagos Food Bank is committed to ensuring equitable access to nourishment for all. The food donations provided have the capacity to sustain a family of 4 or 5 members for approximately 2 to 4 weeks, thereby alleviating food insecurity and ensuring sufficient nourishment for vulnerable households.

Over the past 7 years, the Lagos Food Bank has served as a beacon of hope for under-served communities. This initiative significantly contributes to the achievement of SDG 2, which strives to establish a world without hunger, food insecurity, or malnutrition.
