On the 17th of September 2022, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative will implement the second phase of our One Billion Meals campaign distribution in partnership with the Food Banking Regional Network and Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative at Iba/Ojo community. ABOUT THE COMMUNITY: Ojo is a Local Government Area and town in Lagos State, while Iba is a small community located within the Town. The town is a primarily residential township, is sparsely populated and consists of mangrove swamps and sandy beaches although it contains some major markets and its inhabitants and farmers by profession.   ABOUT OUR PARTNER: The Food Banking Regional Network is a non-governmental organization that organizes charity work, unify efforts and encourages cooperation between different sectors for protecting the right of people to feed themselves in dignity. The FBRN is looking forward to changing the world to achieve food sufficiency, secure the environment, and develop the needy to attain independence and to attain nutritional security. GOALS The goal of this partnership is to reach vulnerable households with staple food items and their nutritional needs so they can focus their resources on other long term needs. OBJECTIVES

  • To provide vulnerable families with food and other relief items.
  • To provide beneficiaries with nutrition education and general healthy living.
  • To bring hope and a sense of belonging to residents of under-served communities.
