On Wednesday 28th of May, 2022 through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) the Lagos Food Bank Initiative will be reaching out to vulnerable and indigent residents of Mangoro community in partnership with Bloomberg L.P.
ABOUT OUR PARTNER
Bloomberg L.P. is a privately held financial, software, data, and media company headquartered in Midtown Manhattan, New York City.
COMMUNITY
The outreach will be held in Idi-Mangoro community. Mangoro is a suburb within Agege local government area in the City of Lagos located in South west, Nigeria. Christianity and Islam are the commonly practiced religions within this area. Mangoro is a peri-urban area densely populated with children.
GOALS
To meet the needs of the most vulnerable families within our host community Mangoro, we aim to reach out to vulnerable people that are in dire economic and physical straits to give them hope and assistance that will support better outcomes for them and their loved ones.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide food assistance to keep the inhabitants with low economic power from being hungry.
- To give them and their children personal care items to reduce the prevalence of infection and support better nutrition.
- To provide hope through our support and donations and to influence positive behaviors in the community.
