The Lagos Food Bank Initiative which was founded in 2016 as a non-profit organization that is nutrition-focused and committed to fighting hunger, reducing food waste and solving the problem of malnutrition within vulnerable communities in line with Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2 & 3.

With support from individuals, corporate donors and over 19,000 volunteers the Lagos Food Bank has impacted the lives of many vulnerable yet resilient beneficiaries through its various models of distribution which include the school feeding program, community nutrition based interventions, diet-based disease management, urban farming and job placement programs that build resilience and self sustenance of our beneficiaries.

On this note, it is with great pleasure that the Lagos Food Bank Initiative will be celebrating its Seventh Year Anniversary on Tuesday 14th February, 2023 with significant impact in creating sustainable conditions that enable people to thrive as we seek to alleviate hunger and combat aspects of multi-dimensional poverty through our targeted programs.

In the spirit of celebration LFBI will officially unveil new additions to programs of the initiative as they will be instrumental to the vision of the organization; to be the Nation’s leading domestic hunger relief organization that provides access to sufficient and nutritious food for all.
