On Thursday 20th April 2023, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative in partnership with Malta Guinness Nigeria will implement its Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) to commemorate the Ramadan season by reaching vulnerable Muslim families in Ajegunle-Agege Community with food relief items that will sustain a family of 5 for about 2-4 weeks.

Through our TEFAP program which caters to the welfare of vulnerable beneficiaries in the aspect of food, personal care and hygiene, we are continuing our good works of supplying relief to vulnerable indigent communities in South West, Nigeria.

GOALS

To cater to the immediate nutritional needs of muslim beneficiaries living in Ajegunle-Agege and to reduce the impact of hunger created through the current economic downturn through the increase in food and cash scarcity.

OBJECTIVES

  • To provide immediate food relief assistance by ensuring all beneficiaries with low economic power have access to nutritious meals during Ramadan celebrations.
  • To give vulnerable families with personal care items to reduce prevalence of illnesses and support better self-care practices
  • To bring hope and a sense of belonging to residents of resilient communities.
