On Friday 14th of October 2022, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative partnered with Cummins Nigeria through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) to provide food and sundry donation to under-served families in Agege community. Prior to the intervention day, the Cummins and the LFBI team visited Agege for community inspection and beneficiary registration; which was an eye-opening moment to our partners as they were enlightened on the plight of the vulnerable members of the community.

Although the day started with a delay due to traffic congestion, the LFBI team and the representatives from Cummins were determined to put smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries. The team swung into action as they joined volunteers to arrange the boxes of hope at the designated outreach grounds. All registered beneficiaries were given food relief boxes that will sustain them for about 2-4 weeks. Other members of the community were not left out as they received clothing and some personal care items. The beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude as we concluded the distribution.
