On the 31st of May 2024, GText Holdings and Stephen Akintayo Foundation partnered with Lagos Food Bank Initiative to mark its 16th year anniversary by nourishing resilient households in Ikorodu Community through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) of the food bank.

Speaking to the attendees of the outreach program, Mr. Ejire, the Social Media Manager of Stephen Akintayo Foundation expressed his delight at partnering with the food bank to impact households to mark the special occasion. He emphasized that impacting lives positively has always been at the heart of the foundation since inception and will continue to be a core responsibility of the foundation.

The outreach was a timely one, making a huge impact on the beneficiaries given the present economic situation of the nation. With prices of food and other necessities on a constant increase, families living below the poverty line have been thrown into more hardship in recent times.

Addressing attendees of the distribution which took place in Ikorodu community, Lagos, the Executive Director/Founder of the food bank, Dr. Michael Sunbola, congratulated the partner of the day on their 16th year anniversary and appreciated them for their generosity. He also hinted on the reoccurring partnership between the organizations to support communities successfully, and wished them more fruitful and impactful years ahead.

The outreach event also saw the participation of food bank volunteers, who worked together to ensure a seamless distribution process, lifting the spirits of beneficiaries as they handed them their food boxes.
