On 24 September 2026, W.A.L.S. Initiative (Worship As A Living Sacrifice) will partner with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) to provide essential food support to vulnerable women and families in underserved communities facing hunger.
More than food, this outreach offers relief, dignity and hope, helping families ease the burden of rising food costs and redirect limited resources towards other essential needs.
ABOUT PARTNER:
WALS Initiative is a faith-based initiative committed to empowering individuals in every season of life through meaningful conversations, worship, community, outreach, and practical support. Through its community-focused initiatives and programs, WALS creates spaces where people can be strengthened emotionally and practically, while extending the love of Christ beyond the walls of the gathering.
This season, WALS is particularly focused on creating spaces where women feel empowered and supported in every season. In partnership with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, that commitment is taking a practical form as families experiencing food insecurity receive essential food supplies to help ease the burden of putting food on the table.
GOAL
To provide immediate food relief and support to resilient women and their households experiencing food insecurity.
OBJECTIVES
- To distribute nutritious food items to women and their families.
- To improve short-term food access for women and their families in underserved communities and reduce the immediate impact of hunger.
