Nutritious meals in school are more than just food, they are fuel for learning, growth, and brighter futures.

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI) partnered with Esosa Food Systems and Innovations Limited, makers of the popular Classic Cream brand, to celebrate Children’s Day in a special way. Through the Education Enhancement Intervention for Food Insecure Students (EDUFOOD), the outreach reached 1,000 school pupils in low-cost private schools across the Agege/Dopemu axis.

The team from Esosa Foods joined LFBI volunteers and staff with great enthusiasm to prepare and serve wholesome, nutritious meals. Beyond the meals, the children also received writing pads to support their learning. The atmosphere was filled with smiles and happiness as the children enjoyed the food and the thoughtful gestures.

Rilwan, Program Officer at LFBI, expressed sincere appreciation to Esosa Foods for their commitment to community impact beyond business. He commended the team for actively participating in the outreach and for their dedication to nourishing young minds.

Ese, Brand Communication representative of Esosa Foods, highlighted that feeding 1,000 schoolchildren with good nutritious food is at the very heart of Esosa Food Systems and Innovations. She emphasized the company’s strong commitment to producing nutrition-focused bread that promotes good health, supports learning, and contributes to community sustainability.

For the schoolchildren and their families, the nutritious meals brought more than physical sustenance. They offered hope, improved learning conditions, and a powerful reminder that society values their growth and wellbeing.

This partnership reflects LFBI’s mission to combat hunger and malnutrition through targeted programs like EDUFOOD. Classic Cream’s involvement stands as a beautiful example of corporate purpose meeting real community needs, helping to build a stronger, better-nourished next generation.
