On the 13th of December, 2025, the Food Bank warehouse was filled with purpose and determination as the Lagos Food Bank Initiative delivered a special Temporary Emergency Food Assistance (TEFAP) outreach powered by a united front of five corporate partners. Under the theme “Stronger Together,” Nahco Commodities Limited, Triple G Merchants Limited, Damanga Agro Exports Limited, Chemcraft Nigeria Limited, and Rain Integrated Services Limited came together to demonstrate the power of collaboration in giving back to society.
This collective Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative stood as a testament to what is possible when organizations align not just resources, but values, placing people and community wellbeing at the center of impact.
Hosted at the Food Bank warehouse, the outreach was made to provide immediate food relief to vulnerable individuals and families facing food insecurity. Beneficiaries were received in a calm, organized, and respectful environment, ensuring that support was delivered with dignity and care.
Each food box, carefully packaged with essential staples, represented more than sustenance. It offered reassurance to families navigating daily uncertainty, easing the burden of food insecurity and restoring a sense of stability, even if for a moment.
The success of the outreach was driven by the shared commitment of the five partner organizations. By pooling their support through TEFAP, the partners transformed individual efforts into a unified response, one that reached further and impacted more lives than any single contribution could achieve alone.
This collaboration highlighted the role of the private sector in addressing social challenges, proving that meaningful CSR goes beyond intention to create tangible, community-level change.
Throughout the day, gratitude was evident in wide smiles, heartfelt thanks, and moments of relief among beneficiaries. For many, the outreach meant knowing that their families would have meals to rely on, reducing stress and offering renewed hope. These interactions reinforced the truth that food assistance is not just about feeding people, it is about affirming dignity and strengthening human connection.
The TEFAP outreach provided timely support to vulnerable households, helping to improve access to nutritious food while reinforcing trust between the Food Bank and the communities it serves. Beyond the immediate relief, the initiative strengthened awareness around hunger and showcased the effectiveness of collective action in tackling pressing social needs.
The Lagos Food Bank Initiative’s Executive Director and Founder, Dr. Michael Sunbola, extended sincere appreciation to Nahco Commodities Limited, Triple G Merchants Limited, Damanga Agro Exports Limited, Chemcraft Nigeria Limited, and Rain Integrated Services Limited for standing together in service to humanity. Their partnership reflected a shared belief that sustainable impact is built through collaboration, responsibility, and compassion.
The Stronger Together initiative reaffirms the Food Bank’s commitment to building partnerships that deliver real change. As food insecurity continues to challenge vulnerable populations, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative remains dedicated to working with organizations that are willing to act, give, and stand in solidarity with communities in need.
