The Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI) welcomed popular content creator and digital influencer Samuel Banks for an impactful Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) outreach at its warehouse in Mangoro, Ikeja. Known for his engaging content and vibrant personality, Samuel Banks brought more than his online influence, he brought compassion, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to making a difference.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and purpose as volunteers, staff, and Samuel Banks and his team worked together to package and distribute nutritious food boxes containing essential food items. Laughter echoed through the warehouse, meaningful conversations were shared, and every packed box represented hope for a family in need. What began as a food distribution exercise quickly became a powerful demonstration of community, empathy, and collective action.

Dr. Michael Sunbola, Founder and Executive Director of LFBI, expressed appreciation to Samuel Banks for using his platform and influence to support vulnerable families and raise awareness about food insecurity, highlighting his positive impact on the youth through content creation centered around humor and literature that raises spirits. He also commended the volunteers whose dedication and service continue to drive the success of LFBI’s interventions across underserved communities.

In his remarks, Samuel Banks applauded the volunteers for their commitment to serving others and expressed admiration for the impact being made through the Lagos Food Bank Initiative. He encouraged more young people and public figures to use their influence to support meaningful causes and contribute to building stronger communities.

“I have been hearing about this organization for some time now, and today I have benefitted from them. I want to thank them and their partners for supporting my family, and other women here with me.”

Holding her food box close, a beneficiary shared those words. Around her were dozens of women and households facing the daily realities of food insecurity, each carrying a story of resilience, struggle, and hope. Her heartfelt remark captured the spirit of what unfolded on June 5, 2026.

For many beneficiaries, the food boxes represented more than a temporary supply of food. They provided relief, dignity, and reassurance during difficult times. Beyond the meals they would provide, the outreach reminded beneficiaries that they are seen, supported, and not forgotten. Many left with smiles, grateful hearts, and renewed hope for the days ahead.

This outreach reflects LFBI’s ongoing commitment to combating hunger and malnutrition through targeted interventions such as TEFAP. Samuel Banks’ willingness to dedicate his time and platform to serving vulnerable communities serves as a powerful reminder that true influence is measured not only by reach, but by the positive impact made in the lives of others.
