On Monday, 31st March 2025, Right To Protein represented by Ogilvy Nigeria, in partnership with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, brought relief and dignity to vulnerable individuals in Lagos State by providing food and essentials to commemorate the end of the fasting period.

As part of the Right To Protein campaign, the food boxes were carefully curated with nutritious items such as eggs, beans, and milk, aiming to raise awareness of the importance of protein in diets for good health and well-being and to ensure access to high-quality nutrition for those who struggle to afford a healthy diet.

Toyin Adeloye, Manager, Brand Management at Ogilvy Nigeria, highlighted the critical role of protein in a balanced diet, emphasizing that “Everyone, regardless of their socioeconomic status, should have a Right To Protein.”

The Executive Director of the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, Dr. Michael Sunbola, further underscored the significance of this initiative, stating, “While many are breaking their fast with loved ones, countless vulnerable Muslims have no one to share with and nothing to eat. Today, Right To Protein and the Food Bank have come together as a community to ensure they can break their fast with dignity.”

Addressing the broader issue of food security, he added, “Protein awareness often takes a backseat due to affordability challenges in Nigeria. But Right To Protein has not only brought this conversation to the forefront, they have taken tangible action by providing vulnerable households with nutritious and protein-rich food boxes.”

As beneficiaries received their food boxes, they expressed their heartfelt gratitude, showering the partners with prayers and well-wishes for their generosity and support in a time of need.
