According to the National Bureau of Statistics, 63% of Nigerians live in multidimensional poverty, primarily in underserved communities. Many struggle to afford basic necessities, leading to alarming levels of food insecurity. This crisis forces families to go to bed hungry and significantly impacts children's education and cognitive development. Contributing factors include ongoing poverty, rising inflation, and food wastage.

In response, Lagos Food Bank and Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) are partnering on November 9, 2024, through the TEFAP program to support families and school children facing food insecurity. This initiative is part of RMB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, aimed at ensuring equitable access to food and essential items. This contributes a more productive community and a brighter future for our children.
