Many households in low-income communities go to bed hungry due to food insecurity and the social stigma around seeking help. As a result, they often miss out on timely support. To alleviate this issue, it’s crucial to reach these individuals and provide the assistance they need. Addressing food insecurity can significantly improve their overall well-being and productivity, and so it is important to show support and help build resilience in economically disadvantaged communities.
Lagos Food Bank Initiative is collaborating with Adebowale Adedayo (Mr. Macaroni) on October 26th, 2024, to distribute staple foods and care items to women through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). This represents a meaningful action towards achieving zero hunger (SDG 2), especially among the vulnerable populations.
