On May 7, 2026, indigenous comedian, content creator, cinematographer, and social media personality Maryam Apaokagi, popularly known as Taaooma, will team up with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative for a meaningful outreach through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). Together, they’ll be supporting food-insecure women and vulnerable households across Lagos State, providing not just food security, but dignity, nourishment, and renewed hope. This impactful collaboration will take place at the Food Bank warehouse in Ikeja, where compassion meets action, and real change begins.

GOAL
To provide immediate food relief and support to women and households experiencing food insecurity in underserved communities.

OBJECTIVES

  • To distribute nutritious food items to low-income families through the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
  • To improve short-term food access for women and households in underserved communities and reduce the immediate impact of hunger.
