Hunger remains one of the most critical barriers to learning. It affects children’s ability to concentrate, retain information, and participate fully in classroom activities. For students from low-income families, especially those in underserved schools, the impact of hunger on education is even more profound; often resulting in poor attendance, low academic performance, and limited future opportunities.
In commemoration of World Hunger Day 2025, Lagos Food Bank is partnering with Sage Grey on May 28, 2025, through the Education Enhancement Intervention for Food Insecure Children (EDUFOOD) program, to reduce the impact of hunger on children, a vital step toward achieving educational equity.
