On Saturday, May 25, 2024, Lagos Food Bank Initiative will reach out to vulnerable households in Oworonshoki, Lagos, through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), in celebration of Mrs. Funmi Osineye’s birthday, by providing food relief and personal care items to beneficiaries, bringing hope and support to the community.
In a bid to attain SDG 2: Zero Hunger, the food bank focuses on making healthy and nutritious meals available for resilient households in low-cost communities. Celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, and other reasons for merriment are an opportunity to extend love and support to those most deserving of assistance.
GOAL:
This partnership aims to support vulnerable households by providing staple foods to meet their nutritional needs, allowing them to allocate their resources to other long-term necessities.
OBJECTIVES:
- To supply vulnerable families with nutritious food and personal care items.
- To encourage general healthy living of beneficiaries through nutrition.
- To inspire hope and foster a sense of belonging among residents of low-income communities.
