On the 8th of October 2022, the implementation of the ‘One Billion Meal Campaign’ continues through the partnership of the Lagos Food Bank Initiative and the Food Banking Regional Network and the Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative. The campaign is targeted to the nutritionally insecure households in Amukoko Apapa community to reduce the impact of economic downturn by providing them with food items and other relief items.
GOALS
Through the 1 Billion Meals campaign program, we aim to bring relief to members of the communities by addressing their present food and nutritional needs so they can focus their resources on other long term needs.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide hope through our support and donations and to influence positive behaviors in the community.
- To provide food assistance to keep the inhabitants with low economic power from being hungry
- To increase awareness in the area of food security, the standard of living, and quality of life.
