On Saturday 19th of November 2022, Lagos Food Bank Initiative will be supporting resilient families in Ilasamaja community with relief boxes containing staple food items through the One Billion Meal Campaign in partnership with Food Banking Regional Network and Mohammed Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative.

Due to the increasing cost of commodities, access to healthy and nutritious meals is more difficult for people living in under-served communities; This has further increased the need for food banks to render more support to the vulnerable members in those communities. The donated food items to the families will sustain them for about 2-4 weeks, thus reducing the impact of hunger and malnutrition.
