Malnutrition in young children remains a major public health concern with lasting effects on health, learning, and productivity. Without timely intervention, its impact extends beyond the child to families and society at large. Targeted nutrition support is essential to break this cycle.

On February 21st, 2026, Lagos Food Bank Initiative, in partnership with The Power Woman Network, is implementing the NUMEPLAN program to provide nutritious food to malnourished children and their caregivers, supporting recovery, improved growth, and better caregiving practices.

The Power Woman Network is a network of female business leaders and professionals’ birth with a shared mission of enhancing the growth of women in the corporate, political and business leadership scenes.

GOAL

To reduce malnutrition among vulnerable young children through targeted nutritional support.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To provide nutritious food to identified malnourished children and their caregivers.
  2. To improve caregivers’ knowledge and practices on optimal child feeding.
