The Lagos Food Bank is pleased to announce a partnership with Bella Disu Foundation to address the critical issue of malnutrition among children under the age of 5 and vulnerable mothers in under-served communities in Lagos through the Nutritious Meal Plan Intervention for Vulnerable Mothers and Children (NUMEPLAN) program.

The Nutritious Meal Plan Intervention for Vulnerable Mothers and Children (NUMEPLAN) is a program designed to tackle malnutrition among the most vulnerable populations.  It focuses on recognizing the unique nutritional needs and the impact of proper nourishment on their overall wellbeing.

About Our Partner:

Bella Disu Foundation is a nonprofit organization which aims to help less privileged children by providing education and employment skills.

Goal:

To provide nutritional support to malnourished children under the age of 5 and vulnerable mothers.

Objectives:

  1. To provide nutrition education to mothers of malnourished children
  2. To provide nutritious food items to malnourished children under the age of 5 as well as vulnerable mothers
  3. To reduce the morbidity and mortality rates associated with under-nutrition amongst under-five children.
