Lagos Food Bank Initiative will on Saturday June 10th 2023, reach out to vulnerable Women within Agege Community through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) to provide immediate food, nutrition and relief materials to families in Dopemu and Agege communities. This outreach is in partnership with Mrs Durojaiye Oluwadara on the occasion of her birthday. Food boxes to be provided will sustain a family of 5 for about 2-4 weeks. 

Lagos Food Bank provides healthy and nutritious meals for people in several communities to enhance the general well-being of Beneficiaries. Lagos Food Bank is committed to SDG 2 which focuses on achieving zero hunger. This has been consistent for over 7 years since inception.

GOAL:

The goal of this outreach is to provide relief and cushion the economic effect of the recent subsidy removal on food prices.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To provide vulnerable families with nutritious food and personal care items.
  • To help Beneficiaries cushion the effect of hike in price of goods and services due to increased fuel price/subsidy removal.
  • To strengthen the hope of vulnerable families.
