EDUFOOD CAREER FAIR WITH CARDTONIC

Food insecurity, a global issue affecting children and adults, with those living in low-income communities affected the most, is the lack of consistent access to enough nutritious food for an active, healthy life. It can result from various factors, including poverty, unemployment, low income, rising food prices, and lack of access to food due to geographical or socio-economical barriers.

In a bid to curb food insecurity to the barest minimum and address poverty in low-income communities, Lagos Food Bank Initiative will partner with Tonic Technologies (Cardtonic) on Friday 23rd August 2024 for a career fair, to provide nutritious hot meals to school children on holidays, and also to enlighten their young minds on the right career paths that guarantee a brighter future, as there will be career talks to share insights on the basic knowledge and requirements to excel in certain professional fields.

ABOUT OUR PARTNER:

Tonic Technologies is a FinTech startup focused on providing virtual and professional solutions in monetary activities and payment solutions.

GOAL:
The outreach is aimed at delivering nutritious hot meals to food-insecure school children on holidays, enhancing their nutritional status and overall well-being.
