World Breastfeeding Week is a global campaign held every year to raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding, promote optimal infant nutrition, and encourage sustainable support systems for mothers and babies.

Theme: “Breastfeeding For Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen That Works”

This year, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, through its NUMEPLAN program, will engage breastfeeding mothers, equipping them with the support and education needed to breastfeed successfully and protect their children from malnutrition.
