I didn’t expect this today… now my children can eat properly for the next few weeks. Thank you.

Holding back tears, a beneficiary mother shared these words as she received her food box. For her and many others facing the daily challenge of putting food on the table, the support came as a timely relief. Her gratitude captured the true meaning of the day as Pernod Ricard Nigeria transformed its annual Responsib’ALL Day into a powerful expression of compassion and community impact.

On June 11, 2026, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI) welcomed representatives from Pernod Ricard Nigeria, including Dr. Joshua Ademuwagun, Human Resources Director; Guillaume de Vernejoul, Finance Director; and Evane Chenuet, Marketing Director, for a meaningful Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) outreach at its warehouse in Mangoro, Ikeja. As part of the company’s global commitment to social responsibility, the team joined LFBI staff and volunteers in supporting resilient women and vulnerable households affected by food insecurity, bringing the spirit of Responsib’ALL Day to life through direct community action.

The atmosphere was warm and purposeful as members of the Pernod Ricard team worked hand in hand with LFBI staff and volunteers, carefully packaging and distributing nutritious food boxes filled with essential food items. Conversations flowed, smiles were exchanged, and what began as a corporate volunteer activity quickly became a meaningful demonstration of care, empathy, and shared humanity.

Dr. Michael Sunbola, Executive Director of LFBI, expressed sincere appreciation to Pernod Ricard Nigeria for choosing to commemorate Responsib’ALL Day through direct community impact. He commended the team’s enthusiasm and hands-on participation, noting that such partnerships play a vital role in extending hope and support to vulnerable families.

Speaking on behalf of the company, Dr. Joshua Ademuwagun, Human Resources Director at Pernod Ricard Nigeria, expressed gratitude to the Lagos Food Bank Initiative for the opportunity to serve. He reaffirmed the company’s belief that responsible business extends beyond commercial success and must include meaningful contributions to the wellbeing of communities. He noted that initiatives such as Responsib’ALL Day reflect Pernod Ricard’s commitment to creating positive social impact.

For the beneficiaries, the food boxes represented much more than nourishment. They meant fewer worries about the next meal, relief from difficult household decisions, and renewed confidence that they had not been forgotten. Beyond the food itself, the outreach offered reassurance, dignity, and hope during a challenging season.

This partnership demonstrates how corporate purpose can be translated into meaningful action. By choosing service over symbolism on Responsib’ALL Day, Pernod Ricard Nigeria helped provide immediate relief to vulnerable families while reinforcing the spirit of compassion and shared responsibility that strengthens communities and transforms lives.
