On Friday, 26th May 2023, Lagos Food Bank donated food and other products to 9 credible NGOs through the Food Bank Network Program.
This is to ensure that more children in low-income communities these NGOs serve also share in the joy of the celebration.
In the first session, the program officer held a training where she discussed the importance of continuity of impact and how to build sustainable programs and create lasting solutions.
Representatives from the NGOs present expressed that the training was an eye-opener and has shown them areas where they need to improve on in order to help more people and to stay in service.
The Executive Director of Lagos Food Bank, Dr Michael Sunbola shared insights on having a solid plan for the future and how to keep the organizations running even when supports are low.
There was an interactive session before the distribution where the members of the different organizations bonded and created connections that will be useful in creating future partnerships to increase their reach across the communities.
Mr Omotosho Tolulope, the representative of Warm Embrace Foundation expressed their sincere gratitude and commended the timeliness of the donation and how it would help them to reach more children.
Through the partnership, Lagos Food Bank would reach more children with healthy and nutritious food items that will reduce the effects of food-insecurity.

9. Yemisi Alogi Orphanage and Children’s Home
