The Lagos Food Bank Initiative in partnership with the Plug Entertainment Ltd reached out to the indigent women of Ajegunle Agege community on the 3rd of May, 2022 to provide food relief for the vulnerable women in the community through the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

The Plug team arrived early at the food bank to lend a hand with the final preparations and movement of the boxes into the truck. The registered beneficiaries of the community patiently waited at the designated distribution ground as they were joyful and excited in anticipation of what was to come.Volunteers engaged the women through our Job Placement programme as some of them indicated their interest in taking up menial jobs. “This is my first time collecting this food stuff and I am very happy that my family will be able to eat well” said Mrs Dosunmu, one of the registered beneficiaries as she showed her appreciation through prayers to the food bank and partner The Plug Entertainment Ltd.
