On the 23rd of May, 2025, beneficiaries of the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) gathered at the Lagos Food Bank warehouse to receive staple foods, personal care items and decent clothing, facilitated by an impactful partnership between G. Elias and Lagos Food Bank Initiative.

Themed; “Uphold Rights, Fighting Hunger,” the law firm showed their commitment to ensuring equitable access to nutrition through the Food Bank by showing up in numbers to participate in the activities of the day. From the packaging of food boxes to handing out the boxes, they joyfully expressed their delight in putting smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries who are from low-income households in underserved communities.

Speaking to the Food Bank’s media team after the outreach, a member of the partner organization, G. Elias, expressed her gratitude to the Food Bank for a successful partnership, stating that their engagement had been a long-time dream for them and they feel fulfilled to make it happen. She also commended the seamless process of giving out the food boxes and hinted on future partnerships with the food bank.

In his address to attendees of the outreach, the Founder/Executive Director of the Food Bank, Dr. Michael Sunbola, appreciated the partners for their timely partnership and participation, emphasizing the need for more corporate bodies to join the fight against food insecurity as a sustainable solution to the increasing hunger crisis.

Also in attendance of the outreach were the ever-committed volunteers of the Food Bank, who came in numbers to show support for community-driven initiatives, helping in every way possible to ensure the success of the program.
