This Saturday, 20th of November, we will be implementing our TEFAP outreach at Ilasamaja community, a suburb located in Isolo LGA of Lagos State. Ilasamaja is an area pervaded by abandoned and dilapidated structures partly due to lack of government intervention and neglect. The area also in recent years has experienced a lot of hardship and general poverty of the inhabitants.

GOALS

To meet the needs of the most vulnerable families at Ilasamaja. We aim to reinforce positive attitudes and values in the community by giving aid that can deter the youth from vices such as petty theft which they may engage in just to survive. The outreach will also give support to those already undergoing skills training or doing menial jobs finding it hard to make ends meet.

OBJECTIVES

To provide food assistance to keep the inhabitants with low economic power from being hungry

To give beneficiaries and their children personal care items to reduce the prevalence of infection and support better nutrition.

To provide hope through our support and donations to influence positive behaviours in the community.

DATE: 20th of November, 2021

BENEFICIARIES

Aged men and women, pregnant and lactating mothers and other vulnerable families in Ilasamaja community.

TEFAP OUTREACH

Our TEFAP is a program that caters to the welfare of vulnerable beneficiaries in the aspect of food and personal care and hygiene. We allocate essential food items, supplements and personal care items as well as gently used clothing for the grooming and wellbeing of the beneficiaries. Since inception, we have been transforming the lives of fellow Nigerians in economic and financial hardship with our food boxes. The Box of Hope is sorted and packaged by a team of volunteers and has served over 141 communities in the 20LGAs of Lagos State and surrounding communities.
