On Saturday, 4th of July, 2026, Olymptrade and Lagos Food Bank Initiative will execute the second phase of an ongoing partnership to advance food security in underserved communities by empowering women and youth in Agege community with soil, seeds, cages, chicks, snails, feed, feeders, and multivitamins to start their respective backyard farms to grow their own food for consumption and enterprise, through the Family Farming program.

Agege is a densely populated, vibrant residential and commercial suburb in Lagos State, Nigeria, known for its deep-rooted history, Hausa and Yoruba mix, and as the home of the popular “Agege bread”. Originally known as “Ilú Àwọn Ageigi” (town of tree cutters) from the kola nut industry, it is a bustling, diverse community with key locations like Pen-Cinema, Dopemu, and Orile-Agege.
