Saturday 12 th of March, 2022 was another impact filled day as the Lagos Food Bank Initiative through their Temporary Emergency Food Intervention Program (TEFAP) brought relief to hundreds of vulnerable families of the Agala Community. The community in Lagos which is surrounded by water, as their only means of transportation is through the use of boats. The members of the community excitedly welcomed the LFBI team as they trooped in their numbers to the intervention ground. As the women of Agala were handed over their boxes of hope, they expressed their gratitude to the organization for coming to their aid. One of the beneficiaries, a pregnant mother of 2, lamented about the ever-increasing cost of food and how this will help her family. The children and other members of the community were not left out as they also received items like noodles, Nutzy peanut butter, gently used clothes and other non-essential items.
