Executive Summary
This study reveals a high prevalence of food insecurity among low-income urban households in Lagos State. Approximately 72% of surveyed households were classified as moderately to severely food insecure, driven by low income, household size, reliance on market purchases, and external food aid.
Common coping strategies included reducing meal portions, skipping meals, borrowing money, and spending savings—highlighting the financial and nutritional stress faced by vulnerable households.
