On October 14, 2025, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI) warehouse in Ikeja came alive with compassion and purpose as Faith Adewale collaborated with the Food Bank for a Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) outreach.
The event aimed to provide immediate relief to families through food and clothing; serving as a powerful reminder that together, we can fight hunger and restore dignity in underserved communities.
Faith Adewale, an Ex Big Brother Naija housemate and volunteer of the Lagos Food Bank, is no stranger to community service. Having witnessed firsthand the struggles of communities facing food insecurity, he has developed a deep compassion for families affected by hunger. His belief in collaboration for impact continues to drive his efforts to reach some of the most resilient populations in society.
During the outreach, Faith and his fans, supported by dedicated Food Bank volunteers, worked side by side packing and distributing food boxes to families in need. It was a day filled with laughter, genuine connection, and kindness; a beautiful example of how shared purpose can bring people together for a greater cause.
Each woman went home with nutritious food items sufficient to sustain a family of four for the next two to three weeks. To make the experience even more meaningful, Faith personally provided transport fare for all beneficiaries to ensure they returned home safely with their packages.
As the outreach drew to a close and Faith prepared to leave, an emotional moment unfolded. His fans, many of whom had never met him in person but admired his authenticity from his time on the Big Brother Naija Show, surprised him with a whooping ₦10 million gift as a token of love and appreciation. Their gesture reflected the deep connection between Faith’s values and the community he continues to inspire.
Through partnerships like this, the Lagos Food Bank continues to bring hope to thousands while showing that everyone, individuals and corporates, has a role to play in the fight against hunger.
