Some families go to bed hungry because they cannot afford even basic staple foods. This often forces them to seek food in ways that strip them off their dignity, such as begging for food or money to buy food. Food aid plays a critical role in restoring hope and ensuring these families have food on their plates.
On August 9, 2025, Mrs. Funmi Osineye will partner with Lagos Food Bank Initiative through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) to support vulnerable households in Somolu community with decent clothing and food items to ease the economic hardship affecting low-income families.
GOAL:
To reduce hunger and improve nutritional outcomes among vulnerable populations
OBJECTIVES:
- By providing food assistance to households experiencing food insecurity and;
- Distributing food items that can sustain a family of four to five for 2 – 3 weeks
