For a long time, malnutrition has remained a growing concern in underserved communities, affecting households living below the poverty line the most. This has led to untimely deaths of babies, and an exposure to preventable diseases in children and adults due to a lack of nutrition as infants. 

On this note, come December 30, 2025, Lagos Food Bank Initiative will partner with Leadway Assurance Company through the Nutritious Meal Plan Intervention for Vulnerable Mothers and Children (NUMEPLAN) to support pregnant women, undernourished mothers and their malnourished babies in underserved communities at the Lagos Food Bank warehouse in Ikeja.
