On Friday 25th of July 2025, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative will reach out to empower its Family Farming beneficiaries in partnership with Ayokunle and Toyin Salami (S.A.L.T.) with poultry and snail materials to fight hunger and promote food and financial security through the establishment of their backyard farms.
Goal:
To empower women and youth with a sustainable source of income thereby promoting food and financial security among women and youth living within vulnerable communities.
Objective:
To create a sustainable alternative source of food which makes access to fresh and healthy food easy and affordable.
To reduce the prevalence of poverty by promoting financial stability by equipping the
beneficiaries with agricultural materials to start their backyard farms.
To improve the livelihood of the program's beneficiaries and their families.
Distribution Items:
The items to be distributed include the following:
Poultry Starter Kits (Chickens, Cage, Feeds, Drinker, Feeder, Antibiotics and Multivitamin)
