On Friday, October 16, 2026, World Food Day, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI) partnered with Sunbeth Global Concepts for the first time to provide food assistance to families experiencing food insecurity in Ijesha Community through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
As a global agro-commodities sourcing and trading company committed to empowering farmers and creating socio-economic impact, Sunbeth Global Concepts marked World Food Day by supporting efforts to improve food access in underserved communities.
The outreach began at the LFBI warehouse in Mangoro, Ikeja, where the Sunbeth team joined staff and volunteers in packaging food boxes for distribution. From there, the team proceeded to Ijesha Community, where registered beneficiaries exchanged food vouchers for boxes containing essential food items, relief materials, and personal care products.
Habeeb Yekeen, representing Sunbeth Global Concepts, addressed the gathering, expressing the company’s appreciation for the opportunity to partner with LFBI. He reaffirmed Sunbeth’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen food security and provide practical assistance to households in need.
For families in Ijesha, the food boxes offered support with everyday essentials at a time when meeting household food needs can be challenging. Alongside food items and relief materials provided additional assistance to beneficiaries and their families.
Sunbeth Global Concepts’ first partnership with LFBI added to the Food Bank’s World Food Day 2026 efforts to extend food assistance to communities facing food insecurity. The outreach demonstrated how collaboration between organisations can translate a shared commitment to food security into practical support for households.
