On the 11th of September, 2026, Lagos Food Bank Initiative will partner with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for a third time, through the Family Farming program to empower women and youth in Papa Ashafa community to establish urban backyard farms for the sustainability of their families.

Through corporate social responsibility, this initiative will provide the training and resources required for beneficiaries to start poultry, vegetables, and snail farms in the confinement of their homes, allowing them access to fresh farm produce for consumption and enterprise.

Having partnered with the Food Bank in 2022 and 2025 to support families in Apapa-Ijora and Oshodi communities respectively through TEFAP, BCG returns with another impactful Corporate Social Responsibility with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative.

Papa Ashafa is a densely populated, predominantly low-to-middle-income residential locality situated in the Agege / Orile-Agege area of Lagos State, Nigeria, near Dopemu.
