On Thursday, 13th March 2025, Marte Egele partnered with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI) to mark International Women’s Day by supporting 20 vulnerable women in society through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). The event, held at the Food Bank’s warehouse, focused on providing food and clothing accessories, showing the brand’s commitment to uplifting women and offering much-needed relief.
The team from Marte Egele was actively involved in the preparation and organization of the food boxes, taking time to ensure everything was carefully packed for the beneficiaries. Their participation reflected the brand’s genuine concern for the well-being of these women.
Uche Egele, the founder of Marte Egele, gave a short but heartfelt speech, expressing her thanks for the chance to support the women and encouraging them to keep striving despite their challenges.
As the food boxes and luxury goods, such as bags and wallets from Marte Egele’s collection, were distributed, the women received them with immense gratitude, offering prayers and well-wishes in return. Their expressions of thanks highlighted the profound impact of such gifts and reinforced the importance of providing not just material aid but also hope and dignity.
Marte Egele, a luxury fashion brand with a strong focus on empowering women, was excited to be a part of this outreach. By collaborating with LFBI, the brand helped address not only immediate hunger but also supported the emotional well-being of the women by providing quality items that made them feel valued.
In total, 20 women were supported, leaving the event with both nourishment and items to boost their confidence, reflecting the positive impact of compassionate actions in the fight against poverty and hunger, while uplifting the well-being of women.
