In the spirit of giving back and creating meaningful impact, celebrations can go beyond milestones to touch lives in profound ways.

On May 23, 2026, HFM Nigeria partnered with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI), as they celebrated their 10th anniversary in Nigeria through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). The leading multi-asset trading and financial services company arrived at the LFBI warehouse in Mangoro, Ikeja, with so much joy, excitement, and a strong sense of purpose.

The day was filled with warmth and energy as the HFM team worked side by side with volunteers and staff to package and distribute nutritious food boxes to resilient women and vulnerable households. Their active participation turned the anniversary celebration into a powerful day of compassion, service, and humanity.

Dr. Michael Sunbola, Founder and Executive Director of LFBI, expressed appreciation to HFM Nigeria for deciding to mark their decade-long journey by supporting families in need and investing in vulnerable communities. He commended the team for their enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to making a meaningful difference, noting how such partnerships help restore hope, dignity, and strength to families facing difficult times.

Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director, Kemi, Communications and Marketing Manager at HFM Nigeria, expressed sincere gratitude to the Lagos Food Bank Initiative. She explained that the outreach was a way of giving back to the Nigerian community that has supported HFM’s growth since 2016. She noted that true success goes beyond business achievements but it includes making a tangible difference in people’s lives.

For the beneficiaries,  primarily resilient women and households, the food boxes represented more than nourishment. They brought tangible relief, visible hope, and a comforting reminder that they are seen and cared for. Many left with grateful hearts and brighter expressions, strengthened by this timely act of kindness during HFM’s anniversary celebration.

This outreach beautifully reflects LFBI’s mission to combat hunger and malnutrition through targeted programs like TEFAP. HFM Nigeria’s decision to celebrate 10 years in Nigeria by supporting underserved families stands as a powerful reminder that true success is measured not only by business growth, but by the positive impact created in communities and the lives touched along the way.
