Nigeria is facing a major challenge with rising inflation, reducing the purchasing power of many citizens. In Lagos State, home to a large urban poor population, food insecurity, once perceived to be an issue among rural dwellers due to low income, is becoming a pressing issue. Due to unstable prices of staple foods, many families do not know where their next meal will come from, sacrificing food for essential items like hygiene products.
To address this issue, Lagos Food Bank is partnering with S.P.A Ajibade & Co. on Friday, 6th December 2024, to support low-income households in Lagos State through the Temporary Food Assistance Programme (TEFAP). The partner organization chose to celebrate the end of the year by fulfilling its corporate social responsibility in a way that improves others’ quality of life.
