On Monday 31st of March, 2025, Right To Protein in partnership with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative will celebrate the end of the Ramadan fasting period with an impactful distribution to reach out to vulnerable women living in underserved communities, with staple foods, decent clothing and relief materials through its Ramadan Food Assistance Program (RFAP).
This impactful partnership is set to put smiles on the faces of food insecure Muslim households, extending the peace and joy that comes with the season with nourishment and care.
ABOUT OUR PARTNER:
Right To Protein is an awareness campaign to educate people about the importance of adequate protein consumption for better nutrition, health, and well-being. The campaign aspires to build public knowledge of different types of protein sources, to meet larger nutritional security goals.
GOAL:
This outreach is aimed at providing essential food assistance and relief materials to Muslim households in underserved communities during the Ramadan celebration, ensuring that vulnerable families can observe the holy month with dignity, nourishment, and joy. This initiative aims to foster a sense of community, promote generosity, and alleviate the burden of food insecurity, allowing beneficiaries to break their fast with nutritious meals and celebrate Eid with hope and gratitude.
OBJECTIVES:
- To mark the Muslim celebration by addressing food insecurity affecting Muslim families in low-cost communities.
- To improve the health of the older population through proper feeding and to encourage healthy diet.
- To promote healthy eating and living.
